Think of New Avenue as the brand for a moment and you as the consumer. We’d love the opportunity to introduce ourselves through a Face Forward experience, but until we have the chance to meet, here’s a bit about us…

 

Our job is to guide your target consumer to choose your brand. We craft the consumer experience to create the desired result.

 

We learn the personality and voice of the brand and give it legs within your targeted community.

 

It’s not just about handing out samples or hosting an event, it’s about connecting consumers with your brand. 

 

Joe Keenan, Founder and President

 

In 2004, Joe Keenan founded New Avenue Marketing in West Hollywood, California. 
Joe began his career at age eight when he bought a piece of gum for 3¢, revamped the outside package, talked up the delicious taste, and sold it to his brothers for 5¢.  Business was booming.

 

Add a Management degree from the University of Minnesota to the mix and Joe was off to work firms such as Momentum Worldwide, Gigunda Group and GMR Marketing.  Joe spent over a decade with these firms, building and executing successful campaigns for a number of leading Fortune 500 companies including General Mills, TiVo, General Motors, Target, Mervyn’s, Guinness and others.  But he felt it was time to veer in a different direction.

 

Joe created New Avenue Marketing to better direct his energy and more efficiently serve his clients and community. For the past six years New Avenue has been dedicated to helping consumers connect with brands through face-to-face marketing with a focus on the LGBT consumer.    New Avenue has executed programs for long-time client, Nike, Inc., including the Nike Studio, the Spirit Sisters and the Rush Hour Collection & Show.  Additionally, the on-going Hep Team for GlaxoSmithKline continues to promote Hepatitis vaccinations among gay/bisexual men. 

 

New Avenue has also created and executed programs for Time Warner Cable , Break the Cycle, LA Dept of Public Health, Energy Star Homes and others.  In 2009, New Avenue created the multi-city Green with Pride™ program.  As an “event within the event,” Green with Pride™ showcases green products, services through interactive displays within Pride festivals.

 

Outside of New Avenue Marketing Joe plays an active role in several community organizations including the Human Rights Campaign, the LA Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Outfest Board of Directors, the LA Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.  He has been a featured presenter at several conferences and workshops throughout the country.
